My condolences to his family and friends. No parents are ever equipped to lose their child so my thoughts are with them.

I am sure that he paid his penance, the regret that he felt once he realised what was going to happen and it was too late would be unfathomable and unenviable.

Please be careful out there as we would not want this to happen again any time soon.

Just an aside, the comment about him going 200KM/H is here-say, there is nothing to say that he was going that fast at the time of the accident, so please be reasonable with your assessment of Chris.

Oh my God, that is just horrible news....I saw him just last week and we waved at each other at Helensvale in traffic. This news is really sad.

Chris was a great guy who will no doubt be missed. He had a passion for VWs and was a really great guy to talk to.

    I'll miss you mate.

This is unfortunate and happens all too often. Lets not jump to conclusions about why or how it happened.. What is done is done and a valuable (community/VWW/Family etc) member has been lost.

I hope that his passing serves as a warning if nothing more. Life can be snuffed out with only a small mistake and in only an instant.

    RIP mate.

I just received a phone call from Chris's mum & dad and I was almost in tears, they asked me to invite you all to his funeral and give him the send off he deserves.

They explained to me that his favourite car is the Mk4 R32, so anyone in the SE. QLD area with one please come along to make this day complete for not only his parents, but him as well.

I'm awaiting an e-mail with the correct location and time, please PM me if you would like to join and give this trule passionate Dubber a worthey send off.
