I'm taking my car to Castle Hill Exhausts next Monday to get a custom 3" turbo back system - will report back on the experience here. But they have been around for ages and have a good rep
Hi
I am currently looking around for a place to go and get a resonator delete for my mk7 in Sydney but I have read a few bad experience stories on some muffler shops in Sydney in terms of quality and customer service and I just simply want to know from everyone's experience of where they have gone to get a resonator delete and any places you all recommended or not.
I just don't want to get screwed in the end.
Cheers everyone and have a great day!!

can anyone here clarify which method and what material castle hill mufflers use to do the res delete for $80?
the guy at hitech muffler said he only uses stainless steel but costs $250 .. hence why the other shops are much cheaper coz they use some alloy mix or something.
I got my mk4 back from Castle Hill Exhausts on Monday - Great job - great price. I got a 3" turbo back exhaust with 100cell cat and rear resonator - and it's great - damn loud - but I asked for that..... ha ha I would recommend you talk to dave - his email address is sales@castlehillexhaust.com.au
I think what they are talking about is aluminiumized mild steel - nothing wrong with it IMHO - I don't like stainless steel as it tends to be brittle and make the sound more tinnie - I prefer mild steel even though it is heavier.
Ring or email Dave and ask him.
My whole job was done in 5 hours - very impressed
