Removing an e-Tag/Breeze tag

Here's a question I'd like answered.

I've got a Breeze tag attached to my current car (Mazda 3 - not for much longer !!!), and before i trade it in, I wouldn't mind removing the tag.

Even if you say "don't bother" - if I choose to, anyone have a good solution for removing the brace with minimal/no damage to the windscreen ?

And, where's a good place to put it in a Mk6 Golf with auto lights/rain sensor ?

Same as stuck on exterior badges.

Fishing line or dental floss to remove the adhesive pad.

On an exterior badge you'd use kero too but inside I'd try a bit of windex.

The sticky gunk usually can be picked off and the residue cleaned up with elbow grease and more windex or alcohol. One of those citrus based gunk off products would be worth a try too.

I thought the mounting bracket is a 1 time use only thing???

MkVI is like the MkV theres a dotted area on the windscreen around the rear view mirror which is where you should place communication devices such as an e-tag.

I had to replace my etag a while ago to the new type so the mounting bit is not the same as the old.
the method that i was told by citilink to remove the etag one was to not try and pull it directly off the windscreen as it will probably break the window.
their method was to twist it backwards and forwards along the windscreen until it comes off... not sure if i have explained this properly... but it worked for me... it took pretty much all of the glue with it.

I have to remove things off of windscreens every day...just get a razorblade, maybe some spray like window cleaner or even just some water, and push the razorblade underneath the glue. It doesn't damage the screen because it's glass. I reckon this is by far the easiest.

Another thing, can someone post a picture of where you've put the Breeze tag please ? And has anyone noticed they beep very loudly (or is it just me ?)
