if these cameras were all about public safety and aweness of driving blackspots why not signpost them and paint them orange?

why not also commence a campaign for the true causes of accidents and target those - kids fighting in cars, driver training, fatigue, phones, the terminally stupid, lack of concerntration, 18 year old Commodore drivers,

When this makes no difference to the road toll (which it won't) they will double them again citing the toll as the reason.

The real reason is the treasury is bare due to incredibly excessive wastage, and the junkets still need to be paid for.

    Motorists are the softest targets.

Roads Minister Tim Pallas said the campaign was designed to reduce the road toll and reduce serious injuries by 30 per cent by 2017 and boost community safety.
Hmmmm 2017, this guy will either be relaxing in his new $300,000 job on the board of the speed camera manufacturer or wallowing in another role by that time and everyone will have forgotten the ridiculous manufacturered and unmeasureable figure of 30%.

    30% in 6 years? That's a poor excuse for a goal...

Oops! Thanks for that correction, don't know what I was smoking...

But still, would expect that sort of result in 3 years.
