i'm looking to find a city councl list of Bris properties predicted to be inundated that is not being bombarded with hits and is thus inaccessible... we're in Clayfield so i'm hoping we're ok...

Just crazy amounts of rain out Wivenhoe and Marburg way (250mm+ since 9am), looks like it is breaking up a little right now, hope it will stay away.

What happened in Toowoomba yesterday was some crazy stuff that I have never seen! The whole CBD has been smashed with wrecked cars and debris everywhere. So many business's have had their buildings and stock destroyed. The local VW dealer went close to having water in the display yard.

Everyone has gone into panic mode buying all your essential grocery's and fuel. The time I got to the shop there was not much left to buy. The road to Brisbane is blocked so it could be a while before we have transport trucks with essentials back up here. I hope this rain easy up soon cause it looks like its Brisbane turn. Stay safe everyone.

It's hard to believe the amount of distruction is happening in our own country. We have all see this sort of footage from "other places"... but not in places we live and work.

And to think I almost went down town yesterday 20 minutes before the flash flooding started in toowoomba. I would never have believed it, its been crazy.

My thoughts are with everyone who hasnt been as lucky as our family. Definately be carefull, ive heard it might be moving down to NSW/VIC, hope everyone stays safe and that noones precious dubs are destroyed, but at the end of the day they are just cars. Hopefully no more lives are taken.

Not good news at all guys. Ive got family in Caboolture and further up that way. My Aunties place is just off the Bruce behind the Pie shop, luckily shes on a hill so shes watching all the gushes of water go by. Also have a lot of friends up there around Redcliffe, Hervey Bay, Bundy... They are all safe for now, but doesnt stop me from worrying about them. Stay safe QLD dubbers !!!

Well that's my bike route gone

The Mexican almost went under, security came running up to me at Toowong Village telling me to move it as they had to close the lower level of the car park. Now I'm in two minds as to leave it in my basement or park it on the sloping street.

The news from Toowoomba really saddens me, I'm lost for words.
