The increase in fuel price in QLD, is due to lack of competition and increases made by service station owners. The amazing thing is that they seem to do it all at once, currently they are taking around 10-17 cent take per litre.
The current price per barrel, will probably stay around 85 dollars per barrel, and shouldnt reach over 90 due to extra stock of oil and the fact the chinese are threatening to stop purchasing oil if the price exceeds 90 dollars.
Best bet keep your shopper docket and purchase on the downward cycle, just as MR Coles and MRS Woolworths want you to do. Or buy a diesel vehicle.
Cheers
