the Euros are a pretty good car for the money. and like you said, come with a heap of standard kit.
the passats share the same 2.0 TFSI motors as the rest of the VW/Audi range and chipping options and output will be the same.
the family will be upgrading to one of these cars & cant decide on which one. Anyone heard any bad things/common faults on the honda euro?
i would have to admit the honda euro is a bargain of a car in regards to styling & inclusions. the only thing in my opinion it doesnt move for crap.
the passat is a bit plain in styling but build quality is better. what are the chipping options for the passat & kw output

my sister has the latest euro and she loves it. Its done 7k kms and there were no problems with it. Its a 6 speed manual and its far from slow. Engine revs out very nicely all the way to 7k revs and it pulls constantly thru the rev range. Its a very good car for the money, but there are things that will tell you that you a driving a jap car. Oh, and steering is too light, it feels like its disconnected from the wheels

accord euro is a great car. a manual one is almost as quick as my bora. mid range it has nothing but when it is past 5k it really takes off. got heaps of kit as standard and is very comfy. now said that, i would never buy onethere are too many of them on the road, the styling looks fresh now but give it a couple of years and it will date very quickly. passat looks more classy and a chipped one will be an awesome sleeper! now its your choice but my vote goes to a veedub

Passat, much much nicer to drive than the Euro.
Although the Jetta is more the Euros size isn't it?
the passat & euro are the same in length. the accord looks wider & has a better stance.
i dont know about the manual gearbox i testdrove the auto. i guess the downside of vtech is you need to flog it to get some power. you dont want to be redlining whenever you want the power.
the only reason im pushing for the passat is drive quality & 180-190kwwith some minor adjustments

My standard car choosing advice applies:
Drive all the contenders, buy the one you enjoy driving the most
PS Have you considered a Skoda Octavia vRS ? These have similar room to the Passat (but a slightly bigger boot) and you can get them with the 2.0 TFSI 147Kw (EA888 cam chain) engine (or the 125Kw TDI oiler if low rev torque is your thing).
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
Both great cars...
I am assuming you are refering to a new 2008+ Honda Accord Euro. Or the previous 2003 - 2008 Honda Accord Euro CL.
I previously owned a 2006 Honda Accord Euro Luxury, sold it for the Passat.
Also abit unfair as the Passat has been the same shape / specs since 2005/6, whereas the New Honda Accord Euro is a 2008+ model.
Just my 2cents.
