Fairly silly to assume financial status based on age. Both my business advisers are half my age, and are worth more than I would even dream to be!

A great story here is my last CEO; he is an old bloke who dresses quite daggy but worth a fortune, walked into a Merc dealer to look at a new car, sales guys were condescending and rude, so he went on his way. He drove his top end Maserati back to show them later that month from the Mazzer dealer just down the road.

There used to be a homeless guy that slept out near the pitt st maccas. He used to get picked up in a limo, driven home, showered and went to work as a senier exec in some high end company. Noone was the wiser. He prefered the homeless way of life apparenlty. Died not long after they found out who he was.

We went looking at a Ferarri from a dealershiop in Sydney that used to be at Roseville. We turned up in a daihatsu handivan- Lunchbox on wheels- and went looking at their second hand stock. Had a look at a mondial and the old 4 seater Mondial, Guy didn't give us the time of day. Said it was a customers car and we needed to hop out of it.

Turned up the next weekend with a then brand new BMW E32 735IL... Asked for the dealer principal, and spoke to the same guy! What an Ahole!!!

The dealer I bought my car from (2nd hand) played hard to get price wise once they knew I was paying cash. They were also very suprised when someone who they thought was so young (I look a lot younger than I am) wanted to pay for 30 odd thou of car with cash. Lost count of the amount of times they ask me get finance. He also tried the old trick of "someone is coming in this arvo to have a look at the car and they are ready to buy".

I went to EuroMarque in Brisneyland recently looking like a total dag, shorts, thongs and a T shirt. When I was checking out the Ferrari section the sales guy came up and asked if I would like any of the cars unlocked for I could have a closer look! Great service

A mate was going to get two new X5's from a BMW on the coast last year, he's a dag as well, got snubbed by the sales staff... ordered two top of the range Lexus 4WD things that afternoon after getting decent service

Ill admit I have no where near enough money to purchase a brandnew but do enjoy checking out whats to offer.

I go in, have a look and if the guys arent busy ask a few questions. Sometimes they juts brush you off and other times we become best mates. I think it is really down to "How much action" the bloke is getting.... If he isnt getting any he will be cranky... My 2cents!
