The other thing is that we don't see what caused everything in the first place. We just see the aftermath.
It could well be that the Golf driver was the Neanderthal who caused the accident and was ticked off because HE had damaged HIS vehicle, and the person whom we are lead to believe caused it by texting may only have been texting AFTER being hit by the dim witted Golf driver?
It is easy to jump to conclusions when only some of the information is presented, or we have some other reason for believing that a particular individual is wrongly at fault.
We live in a far more civilised society than one where we want to take the law into our own hands. Accidents are accidents, and this is where defensive driving comes in. As a driver you have to try and predict that something out of the ordinary might happen and drive accordingly. No one goes out with the intention of causing an accident. IT HURTS. In the end, there will be accidents.
