    This is highly illegal... Tens of thousands of dollars in fines if caught... I wouldn't be worried about the loss of warranty, I'd be more worried about the jail time...

    Thanks guys, I'm really over it. The research is inconclusive and I'm just enjoying the TDI more and more every day.

    People are willing to do EGR deletes, PCV bypasses and even decats yet DPF deletes are somehow seen in a different light

    Because no one likes following a soot belching diesel, least of all me! It's just so obvious, and EGR and PCV are minor emitters in comparison. Decats are just as illegal...

    I'd be more worried about the massive cost of replacing the DPF when (not if) it fails.

    If you do mainly city driving avoid a diesel with a DPF.
