As of this morning, Julia Goolia..sorry Gillard is the new Prime Minister of Australia.

Thats right, our first female Prime Minister but more worryingly ..our first Ranga Prime Minister!

Wayne Swan will be the deputy Prime Minister.

FANTASTIC and Kruddy can wallow in his smugness.

We now just need to boot what's left of the Labor party out at the next election. None of them have any credentials for properly running a country. This is great news. As long as people aren't dumb enough to vote for Labor again!

I think its a good thing mate, she speaks clearly and directly and has conviction.
Plus she has no kids or husband so can concentrate on running the country.

I reckon everyone is sick of the accountants and grey men in charge, hopefully the Australian working man will vote Julia nad we can actually have some real changes in this country.

So you have no problem with a former Union Head with ties to the Communist party, and with no economic credentials running the country?

Speaking clearly and with conviction doesn't mean you know what you're doing! Truth is, we need the grey men who KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING running our economy. Problem is they're all making millions in the private sector so why would they want to come back and fix Labor's mess a second time round?

Former head of a union means little. The person most liberal supporters agreed had the best economic credentials to run the country was actually a former labor party member...

She's a lawyer by trade, and she's smart. She's the prime minister, not the treasurer. She's labor left, so it'll be interesting to see if any of the policies change. Hopefully the Internet filter will go bye byes (Conroy's conservative labor right, as was Rudd....).

I have no idea whats going on. I dont realy follow politics, its to difficult to sort through the rubish. What did Rud do to get kicked out? Why is the ranga a better option? Did the mining companies have a hand in it?
