Only stationary.
Alright guys
I'm referring to those white utes that pull up at the side of the road with a speed camera in the back...... does anyone know if they have to be stationary in order to register your speed or can they do it whilst they are on the move?
Cheers

Thanks mate, that's a relief!
But don't forget the Police do have speed detection devices that can get you going in the opposite direction whilst on the move .
Stationary and level by the looks of it... There's often 1 about 500m down the road from my place and when the Dude sets it up he uses little ramps to get it level.

I was at a red light with a dude at the side of me who tried blocking me in when it turned green. I was on the inside lane and i put my foot down to avoid a parked car, and i then noticed one of those mobile speed cameras driving about 50 mtrs ahead of me, when all of a sudden he turned on some orange flashing lights and slowed right down in front of me, then pulled over.
I drove off before i realized it was a mobile speed camera, but id say i was definitely going a bit too fast.
The orange flashing lights would be part of their SWMS for pulling out of heavy traffic / setting up the site. Lucky you didn't come through 15 minutes later.
