    I'd be putting it down to a case of a dud wheel (i.e. manufacturing fault) than anything else. VGA will sort it out, and hopefully, it'll be the last we hear of it.
    Yea i thought about that, sorta like how BBS used to do all oem bmw wheels. if i see any more info i'll update you guys

    There's some rumblings at the moment, that a MK7 R had been fitted from the factory with the incorrect tyres. Apparently they were too narrow, and not of the correct load-rating. Whether that applies here, time will tell.

    The tyres wont cause the wheel to fail. This wheel has failed at the spokes too which suggests something erong with the metal in the wheel. If it had been from hitting a pothole it would most likely the outer rim would have failed. Unless the pothole was hit with excessive lock on like understeering through it and a huge side load was applied to the spokes!
