Now that you are out of any warranty what really is the point of traveling outside of area, will you get any better service?
I've just bought a 2018 Tiguan with 27,000km on the clock.
The previous owner had it serviced at their local official VW Dealer/Service Center.
I'm wanting to keep up with servicing and trying to settle on where best to get the car serviced.
I have a choice between a local mechanic that specialises in VW (Stokers in Byron Bay) which is only a few minutes drive for me.
Or go to an official VW Service Centre at Tweed or Lismore.
Any thoughts on which is the best option here?

If there is an independent VW specialist mechanic a few minutes away that sounds like a good idea. Ive just looked them up on Google and they seem to have a range of reviews from very good to very bad. They seem to specialise in mostly the old school aircooled VW's, so I guess make sure they are happy to do new vehicles too.
