A great cause, and its' fantastic to see some people power in action, and hopefully justice served.

Unfortunately stories like Jacobs, and that of dictators like Kony are all too common through out Africa, and this is not just in the past. These sorts of atrocities are being committed in more places than just Uganda.

Hopefully this movement can carry enough momentum and can have a great enough impact to have a permement change in governments across the world.

I want my children to be proud of me, and my generation for making a positive change. We live in a world with very few borders, and it is about time we stopped turning a blind eye to what is going on in the dark depths of our own backyard, both here in Australia and through out the world.

Your right Africa has always had a lot of dictators / warlords that have been blood thirsty . What will this change though ? You kill or bring Kony to justice how will anything really change ? It will probably just create a power vacuum and someone else will take over . Or in the case of Iraq/Afghanistan create a really uneasy peace that needs constant attention
Call me old fashioned but some countries need to be ruled with an iron fist to prevent a constant civil war . If you don't believe me have a look at all the contries/regions that have 2 or more extreme religions/political groups and look at how much fighting/tension there is (north/south korea , gaza strip etc) .

That's an interesting perspective bug racer. Still I see a point in creating awareness for the worlds no1 war criminal.

I'm still interested in what other people have to say about this though.

    I hate quoting.

I agree to an extent, I can't ever see some countries becoming 'peaceful' without as you mentioned the tension.

But, as was mentioned in the movie, the first step is to take KONY down, from there you cant really go backwards.

Also mentioned in the film, we're living in a different world, down to the technology we currently have and how easily we can share/create information.

That ability to share/make information so easily may be the power that is needed for the abused to take down the abusers.

Be interesting to see how this pans out (there are people in my area already planning the poster bombing)

There is an event on Facebook in Canberra already with over 500 people attending. Planning on heading out The Thursday night and sticking anything kony related up around the Canberra cbd.

Whether all 500 turn up though will be interesting. It's so easy to get behind a movement over Facebook. But how many people do you think will ACTUALLY take action?
