I like it .... KIA and Hyundai have lifted their game significantly lately and are producing mostly decent quality products. The driving experience still needs substantial work though. 80% of the KIA/Hyundai chassis engineers don't hold driving licences and don't know how to drive and it shows .......

i'm personally much more interested in the new Opel Corsa 1.6 turbo OPC, coming soon and set to knock the Polo GTI off its perch ......

Call me a badge snob, but i would never own a Kia/ Hyundai. They stole the ex Audi designer and it shows as all their cars just look like vag clones with no originality about them at all. Perfect example is the new Sportage vs the Audi Q5, I'm surprised Kia owners aren't putting Audi badges on their cars...

You're a badge snob. And you should never say never as people said the same thing about so-called "Jap crap" many years ago.

That said, the overall value proposition of a Korean car would have to be substantially better than that of a Japanese brand for me to consider one. I don't like 'em much at all, but that picture in the OP does look Scirocco-inspired and I remember thinking nearly 10 years ago the Sonata was starting to look half decent, so they're getting the styling right which for a lot of buyers would be a major point in their favour.

bang for buck, they look good.

However I'd rather hang onto my mk4 and max it out on mods and have a way quicker car, with styling that is still ok for a 12 year old car.
