wow. interested read. thanks dude. i'm a big fan of that sim and older David Kaemmer sims, although i have hardly played it as i just don't have the time. my little bro was hard at it for a few months and was ranked pretty high and got to race against the likes of Dale Earnhardt Jr... sweet.
i'd never heard of iracing before now, will have to look into that, sounds awesome!!

It is an awesome simulator, their scanning techniques take a track offline for a few days just so they can get everything about it perfect.
The only problem is that i don't have a big enough monitor or a steering wheel so it would be a bit bland.
Plus i prefer forza as it is more arcadey which is really why i play games (to escape reality)
But it is interesting to see how realistic a game can be to the point where a guy who has never raced in a real car before can make a lap within 3 seconds of a top time for a course as variable as Road Atlanta.
Finns aren't 'normal', though, as their driver's test basically requires them to learn how to rally drive.
Still, it is very impressive but I seriously doubt most of the top iRacers, who weren't already involved in motorsports, could get anywhere near the class lap record of a race track.
wow! I'm impressed that he was so quick and confident out of the box.
Personally I have never been into the deathly accurate sims... more of a bash racer myself![]()
