    iPhone 4.0 Update

    Hey,

So I did the update, looks good and folders etc are great.

I am just wondering If anyone else is having the same problem.

I have the 3GS. All my photos seem to be running at a terrible res.

So for instance I tried putting a high res, then a medium res photo for my wallpaper, and it looks terribly pixelated! Like maybe a 1/4 of the normal photos quality.

Before the update they all looked great.

So I tried looking at the photos just through the normal Photo app, same thing, its like they have all been scaled down?

To give you an idea, the old OS used to sometimes take half a sec to load a photo, so in the interim while waiting, you would get that thumbnail type crappy picture and then presto, nice picture.

Is there a setting or something I am missing?

I just did the update to OS4.0 as well and love it.
Haven't had a dramas yet (touch wood) and love the multitasking and folders.
Can't say I have the same issue your having though, all my photos/pics look fine still.
Maybe have a browse around the MacTalk forum and see if anyone else is having the same issue.
If not, join up and ask, Im sure someone will chime in with an answer

I have a 3GS. No problems with photos for me. I like how the camera now includes an optical zoom!

I updated to OS4 on my iPod Touch mainly for the the multitasking and screen lock and they're the two features it doesn't have! Waste of time really. Seems to run a lot slower and lag more frequently.

Which gen touch are you using?

My wifes 3G seems laggy, but then it always has compared to the 3GS. My 3GS runs fine although I haven't seen most of the updates in action yet.

My 3GS is considerably quicker with the new OS. Both browsing the phone, internet and especially taking photos (almost instant!)

    I believe it's a 5 X digital zoom..

I have a nearly two year old iphone 3g and won't be upgrading to IOS4 as there doesn't seem to be any real benefit for the old model. However my mates with the 3GS phones reckon they're operating faster..

I'll definitely be getting the new model. I'll get one because I actually like the iphone and, although there's plenty of iwankers who carry on about how iphone users are sheep and how much they hate Apple, I have a choice of either the excellent iphone or something else that takes my fancy. THEY have no option to get an iphone because that would be sooo hypocritical. Maybe they're all backed up and they should go have one of those iturds that I've been reading about!

I'm using the 2nd Gen. Love the thing but would prefer it to be back on the older software. Like 2 updates ago.

I believe it's possilbe to go back, although I haven't ever had to do it myself. I haven't yet done my sons 3rd gen Touch, but then he couldn't care less so I'm in no rush.
