Was there any reason given why they tried to shift servicing to a 6 months/10,000km basis? Sounds like they thought they could recover some costs from you following the free service.

I think I remember your original free service thread ... nice work and thanks for the heads up on which ****ty dealer it was !
Although not unexpected, not picking up on any of the 6 faults should get the staff that worked on your car to be warned.
Do you know what the 6 faults were ?

Yes
1 Blown number plate bulb
2 low air preasure in one tyre
3 Disconected hose in engine bay
4 piece missing from wiper blade
5 he put some fault into the software
i forget the other one but they were easy identified he said
no one was picked up
he bought all the faulty parts with him
Hilarious.
That crap about the service interval is even funnier.

Yes they are prepared to extend the warranty if your prepared to pay for two services a year
So you are in fact paying for the extended warranty your self so instead of paying $440 a year
You'd be paying $880.
I don't think so. I hardly drive the Tiguan in 2.5 years It's only done. 15,000 km
So I'd be getting the car serviced every 3,000 km.
