Don't underestimate the speed of a tuned (new) GT-R. As much as I never really liked them, seeing the potential of these things makes you realise you can't deny the awesomeness. Look up more vids of them - they can be insanely quick.

On the other hand, you see full body street legal rotor's that are just as quick thru the quarter with heaps less power.

true. like the twin turbo VW .:R32 in last year's Motor Magazine tuner shootout...
only had 234kw at the wheels [iirc], but 0-100 in 3.9 secs. not as fast as the japanese stuff, but still, pretty quick despite relatively little power.
i'd be VERY happy with that.
