If someone gets a hold of this and integrates it into the actual sole of the shoe instead of having a motor in teh footwell it would be awesome.

Sure it may dumb a few people down but it will also allow easy access to people witha dissability/disease etc that find it hard to bend down and do up their shoes.

    Pretty wicked concept.

Hahah, velcro is awesome until you go to the beach/bush and get sand/dirt in it, then it's almost impossible to get working again.

I guess this could have some issues as well like if it gets wet will it electrocute you?

    true @ dirt in velcro.

but with this lacing system- i dont even like tightening my laces as tight as they can get- i always have them so that my shoes are kick-offable.

people might say that these shoes are for lazy people, but honestly, i couldnt be **cked owning a pair of these, and im DAMN lazy. normal laces- keep it simple. i dont want to have to call some mobile shoelace electrician every time i have an issue with my laces.
