How do I get a Huntsman out of the car

There was a Huntsman on the inside of my drivers window on the way to work this morning. I tried to get it to go out but when I flicked it instead of it going out the window it crawled down the inside of the door.

I looked for it when I got to work but couldn't find it. It's only a small one, about this big.

In the past these usually hide somewhere under the dash and come out at just the right time to scare the wife and kids so how do I get it to leave before the screaming starts?

    Cheers

It's only a baby, you should see some of the big ones we get here. The biggest I've seen in one of our sheds was about 15 cm across and almost black.

I don't mind spiders so if I can find it I'll take it out and put it somewhere where it won't get hurt. Huntsmans don't bite so they are safe to pick up.

I just need to move it before the kids see it.

Dry ice inside the car for a couple of hours... The carbon dioxide will kill them

They're aracnids not insects so will probably just piss it off

Seriously though, they're not dangerous so can just be scooped out.

Plus you'd be left with insect spray residue everywhere.

Maybe you can lure it out with something? Leave the door open for an extended period? Although that could cause more spiders to appear also.

Worst-case, you can always remove the door trim and give him the flick.

If I knew where it was I'd get it out but the little bugger has crawled away and is hiding somewhere, waiting to scare the crap out of someone.

There's nothing worse than pulling down the sunvisor and there's the spider smiling at you as it drops into your lap or feeling something crawling on your neck while you're trying to stay in front of a CRX through a roundabout.

We've got lots of huntsmans at home so leaving the window open overnight is just an excuse for a spider party inside the car.

All I need is for this 1 spider to move out.

    Cheers

    Paul
