Wasn't such a bad ending. I was expecting the son to take it in the night and write it off killing all inside...

The journo knows how to write though.

That guy needs a hobby. Or to go back to sensationalist "news" journalism.

Could have been written like this: My son drove a Porsche 997 that wasn't even mine into my garage door.

Yes wasn't really as bad as he made out, only US$11k, not really written off...

Yeah the poor guy did very well to write an article about his son trashing a press demo car and yet remained so calm about it! It was really quite entertaining I thought. There were a couple of related articles as well for a laugh, and his son (I assume) is hiding behind the concrete column one of the pictures too - # 9.
I wish 911 Turbos were that cheap over here – I’d mortgage my house again at that rate

Rocket, I hardly think it was supposed to be front page headline worthy. If you read TG or Wheels etc, the articles in there are pretty sensational as well. Of course the journos are going to be emotional & passionate about their job. If you want facts only then read the Redbook sumary. Go take your bike for a spin or something and lighten up ...

This "journo" has been criticised by the motoring press for being liberal with the truth on what actually happened. I mean, why take the opportunity to teach your son an important lesson about taking responsibility for your actions when you can blame it on a free Porsche instead?
