    are the euro cars in Japan exactly the same as those in Oz? or do they need to be built differently for the Japanese market?

    Did some research and the only VW available to be imported from Japan, assuming you dont own and drive it for 12months or its a pre 89 car, is a Corrado

    According to the list, a Corrado from 1989-1996 can be purchased via auction and imported to Australia

    Recent sales prices, exclusive of shipping, have been in the order of 160,000 to 350,000 Yen....divide by 80 and that looks pretty cheap

    Not sure of shipping costs, Customs duties & expenses...it could be like 10K for a VR6/G60 Corrado

    something worth considering

    what about any engineering and compliancing costs to get it licensed here?
