    Gnoo Blas 2010 (Car show..)

This weekend we had the annual Gnoo Blas car show. A show in recognition of the "Gnoo Blas" (Said "Knoo Blah") racing circuit that used to be on the southern side of Orange, utilizing 4 orange roads.

Jack Brabham and a number of other well known retired racing drivers that had raced here in the glory days were in attendance to sign autographs and "Bench race". Unfortunately i didn't see them and don't have any pics of that. I only ducked out for a short time to take some pics with the old man while he caught up with everyone that he doesn't normally get to see.

    Here's the Pics.

This Hilux is owned by a mate of mine. Toyota 18RG with twin 42 DCOE's on it. Kinda cool i reckon. Something different. Don't worry, i don't dig the wheels either..

This is owned by a friend of ours. Just completed. Might not look like it, but it's got 500hp at the flywheel.

    Cool pics Preeny!

Got to love the old race humpy (48/215 or as most would say FX)

I also spot a W427! Have you seen how much those buggers are now! Who said Holdens aren't worth anything!

Tough looking blown alky XW Ford ute

The add in some old Ozzie muscle. John Goss Falcon XB/XC coupe, XW GT & LC Torana.

    My kind of show

I'm pretty sure the Mk2 Cortina is a GT. Not a Lotus sorry

It was pretty cool. Old mate that owned the camaro can talk some **** though.

The XW was on petrol. Not as tough as it looks i don't reckon. Pretty lazy when he fired it up. It had a flat spot when he whacked the throttle.. If it was anything serious it would have banged the blower. haha. (Maybe that's just me though.. You start playing with Nitro and everything else starts to sound tame..)

Yes the Cortina was a GT, not a Lotus.

Jack Brabham Park. Near the Bloomfield (mental) hospital. Just before it actually.

The main straight in the early days was apparently called "Mental Straight"! hahaha. Later changed to "Hospital Straight" for obvious reasons.
