It is the e-Co-Motion concept shown in Geneva in March. Design is most likely for the next Transporter family.

That would be about time, it's been 10 years since the T5 was released.
But, it looks more like Caddy of the future to me, than T6.

Looks like a t5 replacement to me .... looks good too, decent engine and gbox choices would make it find a home in my garage. If not then a manual iMax replacement would be the go

Whilst its still a"concept " car as the photo stands it would be hard to fit the extra glass panels at the rear and keep it uniform as the front sections are inwards from the rest of the body , other than that nice looking rig . I just pray and hope VW finally realize the failed experiment with their autos which by and large have been a nightmare over the last ten years is put aside and they just build a simple automatic you know the type put it in D drive to your destination and then put in P for parking , none of this DSG crap with manual drive and lower ratios The same for the manuals a solid flywheel has been very good for the last 100 years and VW's attempts with DMF has failed as well end of rant !!

The automatic transmissions (in any form) problems incl. DMF aren't unique to VAG cars only. The tighter the emissions laws are, the harder it is for the manufacturers to comply, that's why you will see the A/T with more gears in the future. They just have to keep the engine revs in that sweet spot during the gear changing, so I'm afraid the DSGs and the CVTs is here to stay.

Groan Transporter I do concede its inevitible that things have to change but maybe just maybe they could simplify the auto to just that , an auto that is devoid of manual control and two sets of ratios . I reckon then the DSG or whatever they might call it would be much more simple and hopefully more reliable .
