    Talking Forza Motorsport 3

It's out officially tomorrow, although the lovely ppl at JB HiFi in Whitfords were selling it tonight! Picked up the Ltd Ed with the keyring + USB stick for $99

First impressions are preeeeeeeeeeeetty good. Certainly looks alot better then FM2. Some nice new cars to play with (DB9R!!) and a few new tracks. Not a fan of the new interface or menu music, however.

Still, I have no doubt it'll sell like mad, and as such, I am duty bound to challenge you all to a race

I had it delivered on Wednesday ... started playing yesterday - took the risk that it was legit and MS wouldn't kill my Live account

Don't mind it, not huge step up over FM2 from what I have seen so far.

Noticed they have the Holden/Ford V8 touring cars on FM3 - appealing to the local bogans - thankfully the German touring cars on there

I am picking my copy up today.
Can't wait for some euro tuning and racing.
Love the rewind function and the customisation.

The Ferrari California in the demo is a monster.
After about 60km it picks up and hauls some serious ass.

I expected the R8 V10 quattro to handle a bit better than it did but i guess i wasn't factoring in what speeds i was taking corners at, it just seems to have a huge turning circle on that first "hairpin" in Montserrat.

I got bored of FM2 prity quick once my mk2 and gtr where killing everything. IMHO FM2 didnt have much over GT4 on PS2. I will still get FM3 though.

I hope that in FM3 they have added flames from the tial pipes, better exhaust sounds, better tyre smoke and better turbo sounds.

At the end of the day GT5 will pwnt it....if it ever comes out.

Yeh... It is getting harder and harder to stay interested in Prologue. FM3 might do while we are waiting for the real deal (GT5).

Playing it at the moment. Whipping my beasty Ford Fiesta up to level 5 before I move onto bigger, greater and faster things.

Having AI that makes mistakes and a proper damage model is awesome. There hasn't been this kind of proper racing since the TOCA2 days. Seeing the leader of the race fly into a barrier because you were closing in on him and he pushed too hard is great.

Unless they introduce this kind of AI into GT5 I can't see how it will be better at all no matter how many cars and fancy the graphics are. They've already dropped the ball by not implementing a full damage model.

    Cheers,
    Trent
