Just got the drifter achievement with the E30 M3 around the Maple Leaf short circuit.

It should be called the Scandenavian Flick achievmenet becasue that is pretty much how you get it.
Apparently you have to stay on teh track at all times during the drift and you can't end up facing backwards at all (anything over 90 degrees) of you lose the points.

I had another go in the 22b this morning and could only manage a 1:35.9
This involves clipping the single cone on the right side of the track at the esses. I think it is 'unverified' because the little warning triangle is next to the time. Not sure.

I'm taking the first turn near flat in fourth, and holding fourth all the way over the esses etc. No idea how my bro got into the 33s!

Yeah unverified is the little exclamation mark. Means the lap time will not count on Xbox Live timing boards.

You need a clean lap which means, no going off the track, no slipstreaming and know using the rewind feature. Not sure but having a damaged car also looks to impair your lap times.

Finished upgrading my Chevelle last night. Need to tune it further and get the launches better. I still can't get the power down nicely in first which is killing my times, 12.297 is my best now.

Also read last night that the missile cars are still in the game. That is a muscle car or similar with stupid straight line acceleration and speeds but no handling mods and being rated as a C class car.
Hopefully they'll fix this in a patch.

Also rolled a car for the first time. My R32.

    Cheers,
    Trent

I've got a $55 EB voucher, reckon it's worth it putting in the extra to get this game?

I haven't played my 360 AT ALL this year, seems a bit of a waste.

Well I can safely say that I can't drift to save my life and it would be much better if those twisty sprint stages had more than one car up against you for some proper racing.

Have you been playing with tyre pressures? What have you been doing with shock settings?

I don't know how far you can go.. But basically what you want to do is make it squat hard off the line and absorb the shock, then stand up slowly as it passes down the track..

Only played with extremes at the moment:
Everything full hard or full soft (suspension).
I've also lengthened out the gears a fair bit so basically I'm only using 1st-3rd.
Dropped pressure right down on front and rear.
You got any links to setups and that kind of thing Preeny?
Heh lots of fun to be had.

Need some links on stock car tuning for oval racing as well. I've got no idea on how they setup their cars. All I know is that when I was oval racing my R32, it was very interesting how individual tyres were wearing.

    Cheers,
    Trent
