Having had the opportunity to play the game for a couple of weeks, below are some observations / wishes for future changes (even if in Forza 4 or subsequent titles). Overall I am happy, but the realism is severely lacking in a number of areas.
If you want a racing simulator, buy a racing simulator. Try Race Pro on 360, it has safety cars, qualifying, warm up lap, terminal damage etc.

If you want a proper race sim you need to use one of the PC games, Iracing, Rfactor, GTR evo etc.

i have a maxed out rs6 from the latest car pack, not a bad car for its size and weight.
datsun 510 is a wicked car, 4wd and still skates all gears with no effort at all.
veyron is quick as but handles fair crap.
Nissan r35 gtr drifts good, handles decent, i find its a good all rounder.
Golf mk2 with r36 and 4wd was fun but it didnt really want to drift you had to force it.

I like to replicate racecars sometimes.

has the design tool gotten any easier to use or does it still take weeks on end to do anything worth while?

It is good for a bit of drifty action.
I still cannot find a better setup than the Mines R34 for drift.

The tail gets out with hard acceleration/slight handbrake into a corner but there is enough traction to keep it in check (unlike the actual drift cars)

Haven't tried the new RS6 But the lotus 2-eleven and the R8-LMS are mad fun.

I find it pretty intuitive and knock up race replicas like these in about 90 mins, which includes SOME logos but not every last little one. My Block Impreza for example has dedicated DC shoes locos that made it take a bit longer than the other cars.

So back from holidays in Europe and still with a week of holidays to go and not wanting to spend much money I was looking forward to hitting this again. Unfortunately the great rrod has hit me and the 360 is dead.
Looks like power supply but either way not happy.
    Cheers,

    Wow!

    Can you post a pic?

I'm a racing nutter, and enjoy doing replica (or imaginary) racecars more than the really creative stuff.
