I know now what I'm getting after my first pay cheque... an Xbox 360 and this game. Sounds freaking fun! And I'll have something to do after work!

Will still be saving for my Mk3 though (:

So I had a bit more of a play last night with the game.
Graphics are an improvement although not an evolution (that will be on Forza 5 with the new xbox)

I am a strong believer in keeping a car in its original class so i spec'd up a Mk2 GTI to D350 and cained the clubman series.
Upgraded all handling bits to maximum and added some lighter wheels.
    Upgraded the tyre sizes (free)
Upgraded the spark plugs onece and then gave it a bit of a tune.

Now it is ever more enjoyable to drive and whips the competition.
Also gave it a camo paint job, black sunroof and carbon fibre front end.

P.S. The AMC Javelin is a beast of a thing, so boatlike

I've spent the last few evenings smashing around in this and I must say it is great, great fun. Credits are much easier to come by which is very nice. Downloaded the nov car park DLC - the aventador is a BEAST but a little on the understeery side. The R15++ is fantastic too.

Also LOVING the rivals stuff, I think I've picked off a view in the vww club so far

I agree on the credits point.
Thank god they finally gave you something after reaching level 4 affinity with a manufacturer.

The best part is you can get basically doulbe the credits just by turning of all the over-assist aids and have it run as a car would normaly on a track.

My main dissapointment is the AI opposition.
If i am not leading they will box you out so you can't get past.
If you are in the lead they will take a corner so sharp that there is no way they would be able to make it properly resulting in me getting hit off the track.....

I find the AI quite the opposite. Sure they run into you a fair bit, but a lot of the time when in second place and in the last lap. Coming up to a corner and the lead car just completely overshoots the corner an I get the lead.

I like winning races. But as if the leader is going to forget the brakes.

I'm not much of a fan of the AI either, thats why I race other humans people ^_^

EDIT: Which I havent actually done yet with foraz4, just ghost cars in rivals. Hopefully the netcode is a little bit (or a A LOT) better then forza3, which had some very weird latency issues. The best one was when cars would follow the track from 10m in the air. Always good times!

hahaha never had that happen before.
only some AI was beside me, next thing i know he's in front slamming his brakes on!!!

the AI is a bit annoyin at times, i notice every blue car in races are really aggressive. and they have no race conscience, they just dive left right and centre
i do like how they made a professional difficulty. yes it is a bit harder, but i can still beat them by 2 sec a lap, in the same car!! i wish they made a difficulty system like DIRT3!!! saying that, the AI in DIRT3 and F12011 (both codemasters) are soooho much better than F4.
either way a great game, and according to several reviews.... BETTER than GT5 2.0!!

the only good thing about GT5 is the graphics. The driving in that game is the pits!

I've noticed the race concsience lacking as well.
How can i be expected to overtake people on the outside when they won't use the racing lines and cut across the corner rather than going through it.

It forces me to drive over the apex a number of times.
