Unfortunately in the VW scene you cannot get all of those in one stock car. You can get AWD+v6, or turbo, but if you want it all you'd need to turbo a bora or R32 which would be like 10 grand on top of their prices and even they are out of the price range.

I'd go Audi too! The A4's are sick.

A MkIV GTI is about your best bet for a Euro, turbo hatch that can be fast. But for that price I reckon he should look at the Jap stable for turbo and performance.

The new generation petrol engines povide just as much torque over a broader range than the diesels do for Euro cars.

Diesels = torque = better is an archaic way to view engines and newer cars these days.
