Ext warranty opinions

Ladies and Gents,

I have been reading a few threads on ext warranty, and want some opinions.
I have a quote from Southern Classics for a sub $1300 amount, for a used car 3yr warranty (factory warranty expired a couple of months back, before I bought the car).

It is a MY07 Golf GTi, 6 spd.

I don't have enough experience with VWs to know whether this price is good or not, since it is limited to $2000 per claim.

I am tempted to get this warranty anyway, just for peace of mind, but I wanted some expert opinions first.

I think I read that thread, which is where I got the contact details from for Southern Classic.
It mainly dealt with extended new car warranties, my question was about used car warranties, and the limit of $2k per repair...

All of the information you require is on the Australian VW Website including the actual policy inclusions and and exclusions. Do yourself a favour and have a look.
