Haha .. you're not the only person it happens to mate.

    Just be thankful it's not a 4WD/SUV.

Haha, story of my life! I copped this one a few weeks back, purposely parked in the middle of nowhere away from everyone outside a shopping centre and returned to this. I had to take a photo due to being so annoyed lol.

I try & park at the end of a row, as close as I can to the concrete edging & come back to find someone cuddled up to me.
My son was parked in an outback town in his Landcruiser when a guy pulled up next to him & opened his door quite hard into the Landcruiser. He obviously didn't think he had done anything wrong until my son had a go at him & told him "when I leave I will drag my bulbar down the side of your car". My son said the guy kept looking back as he walked away to see if he was going to carry out his threat.
Another time he went out to lunch at the local Inn with his family & parked away from others. He noticed a girl driving fast who misjudged when pulling up next to him & hit his rear bumper [Subaru Outback]. She climbed out of her car with a laugh saying "did I bump you?"
That little bump cost $1600 to repair.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

    Haha, that's a classic.

I've had similar happen - but generally another enthusiasts car so I give it a pass.

Having spent most of the last two years in Qld and Vic, sadly this seems to be an Adelaide specialty - the care factor of other people's cars seems especially low here.

I'm pretty fussy about where I park, always look for an isolated spot preferably with some "protection" like concrete pillars adjacent.
More often than not we take my wife's Fiat 500C when we go out to dinner or go shopping as we only need half a spot. When we go to our local Westfield, we have our pick of about 6 "reserved", safe parking spots regardless of how many cars are in the car park, essentially, not much other than a 500 will fit in between the concrete pillars and they keep the adjacent cars at a safe distance!

If you look at the Suncorp ad that he parks at the far side of the car park. Well I would be the one further away than that.

Like the exercise and havent got any marks in 5 years ( So far anyway)

I worked for a number of years in Hyde Park. The amount of 'shopping cart rash' I got from matrons opening the doors of their Mercs and Jags was unbelievable, they didn't give a toss. Taking stuff to our Burnside outlet was just as bad.

When I relocated to the Port Adelaide office I could not believe the difference. Call 'em bogans if you must but they respected other people's cars.

They may be bogans but a lot of them are passionate about their Falcodores all the same.

If I don't have a pre-planned parking spot in mind before a journey my car tends to stay tucked away at home.
