Do you remember who you bought it from Why don't you send them an email explaining your circumstances , it just might be they use the same code on all there refurbished units.
I purchased and installed an rns510 2 years ago. We sold the golf not that long ago. And when I removed the unit, I didn't get the original pin code. I sold it to my now ex, and they can't retrieve the pin code either. ( new bf works for vw) the code they generated keeps getting rejected.
We've tried the 14 digit number to generate the code, but that doesn't work.
I read somewhere or it was from the seller, that the code is the last 4 digits on oe of the stickers, but it still doesn't work!
Any ideas?

I know... By I'm trying to do the right thing.
Was a thread on here a couple of days ago that a poster said he had software that could retrieve codes like that.
