Hi everyone, has anyone had any experience with these Chinese models?
Seems cheap and I'm sure that of I buy one it probably won't work.

jigs: Don't waste your money! It's entirely likely that this unit won't have the label files to recognise the control modules in your mk7 (which are relatively new because of the MBQ platform). At best you might be able to do an auto-scan, but that's about it. I'm guessing little to no access to the Long Coding Helper and probably no much access to any of the 3,00 plus adaptation channels in the mk7.
But the real reason why you shouldn't buy one of these units is because it supports the theft of intellectual property that rightly belongs to Ross-Tech. Uwe Ross built-up the company from scratch and his products have a high reputation (rightfully). These clone suppliers rely on RT's reputation for their business model - We as buyers ought not condone intellectual theft. It's bad morally to buy these cables and it's ultimately a bad investment financially.
Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.
Understood. Thanks for the info. I'll save my money.
+2 for the genuine Ross Tech setup.
Really good service and support.
