So, I am currently doing a bit of traveling in the USA, and today my girlfriend and I gave ourselves an early Christmas present.
We took the BMW Experiance... A tour of the Spartenburg (I have been making Sparta jokes all week!!), South Carolina, factory, starting with the Zentrum, BMW's museum at the plant... It was a tad disappointing, but they had a few cool cars...
Then through the X5 and X6 production line, where they also make the M versions of the cars, and where they also produce cars for over 140 countries, inluding Australia (sorry, no photos were allowed, but it was awesome...)
Then it was over to the awesome part of the tour... The test track...
We each first got into brand new X5's and did a couple of hair raising drives around the off road test track... Let me assure you, even though they look like a soft roader, they are a very capable vehicle.
After this, it was off to the cars lined up for the test track... The cars we each had 3 hot laps in 4 cars... A brand new 750i, 550i, Z4, and X5M...
750i...
550i...
Z4...
X5M...
After fun in each of these cars, we we then given a hot lap by the resident driver trainers in an M5... These cars are absolute beasts, and so much fun!!!
All this for $130 each... Best I ever spent....
Sorry about the swearing...

Also, the amount of M3's, 5's, and 6's that were around was amazing, along with X5 and X6M's...
Food for thought... A brand new M3 in the USA has a sticker prce of $58,000...
I couldn't help but try to make love to it...
New 750i...
Our cars that we drove...
Just a small selection of M3's, 5's and 6's that were there... I could honestly say that I saw over 150 M series cars at the test track...
