So let me get this straight right.
VW now recalls about 25,000 vehicles that they are saying affected from June 2008 to Sept 2011.
Does this means that VW vehicles made after Sept 2011 does not have any DSG issues?
Was there some sort of changes made to the cars built after Sept 2011?

I'm confused is it only the 7 speed box? No recall on the six speed?

If you or others have a problem with your transmission, just go and see your dealer about it. Why there should be a recall anytime someone has a problem with the car? In some cases, it even doesn't have to be the cars fault? Go and see your dealer, it's simple like that.

I don't see many Audi owners complaining about the same DSG and other faults, the price of the car must have something to do with it.

For sure if it was that bad with the DSG in the cars, the german VW owners would complain too, giving the fact that it is the one of the smarter countries where the system would be more efficient and the problem picked up sooner than somewhere else.

Well my 2010-11 Polo (bought Nov 2010) just broke down again on Sunday night and is currently at the VW Service Centre (Barloworld Mascot). They told me yesterday they don't know when they can look at it as it's in the queue of cars to be looked at. I wonder how this recall announcement will affect my car since it's already currently broken and in their possession
