Do you know what OzVWCrap, it actually makes a lot of sense to me and it came to me that you could indeed be working for the fairfax or who knows who. The amount of time you spend here and the way you acting in your post just let it out. If you were self employed then your business would be affected by the amount of time you lose by posting and collecting all that info. If you work for someone and you're just a VW customer with the car than may or may NOT be faulty, than that organisation would have to sack you for not doing your job, unless of course it is fairfax. But, I hope for the sake of the future generations that you don't work for the coroner, the fairfax or similar, because they would be just like you and who would need a justice based on vote in the media or "I like button on the facebook".
To others
If that would be the case this thread lost it's credibility, because the one can't take seriously stories got out from people written in the internet forums under the conditions we see (my friend's friend DSG did this, I heard from people that the DSG is no good). If the VW comes out and say there were less than 1% of the DSG made that could have a real problem than you would trust them wouldn't you? If no, then perhaps you should sell the car, you can't drive and be happy with the car, if you don't trust the manufacturer.
Everybody who thinks rationally knows that the fix is not an immediate recall whenever you get e few people jumping in the forums and calling to fairfax or posting on facebook.
Again, I wish that everyone with the real fault in his/her car gets the problem resolved and can start enjoying the car again. It doesn't have to be just the DSG fault; any fault should be repaired ASAP. For that to happen we shouldn't need the media or facebook or use the accidents as a good starting point to go on witch hunt. Because this tactics could seriously backfire one day, and the hunters could find themself in very serious troubles.
Heck, with the 3 DSG cars in the family why wouldn't I want the extra warranty on the DSG (we keep our cars for a very long time) that could come from all this noise? The last think I need is that, my properly working gerabox was opened, the suits to all fix applied.
The fix could be like the last one in the Jeep we had; the torque converter replaced and the ECU and TCM module reprogrammed to reduce the power/torque. I sold the car after that and moved on. You never know what can happen and the legaly you can jump as high as you want, because the engine power is rated and stated at the flywheel.

Wrong again grandpa. You are being treated in this way because you are incapable of being objective and have absolutely no sympathy for the vast majority of VGA car owners who have never had a problem, unlikely to have a problem and are happy with their cars. You posts have been completely off topic, one sided and with clear intent to suggest that every VW is a potential death trap. Imagine how many previously happy VGA car owners are now running around scared about their cars and resale without one shred of evidence that there are many systemic problems across the VGA models! You and the media have contributed to that and VWA, Audi and Skoda are still in the same position as they were before all this. No recall of anything!

This gave me a good morning laugh. You can't spin this to be a personal attack on you. Your actions on this forum to incite angst against VW didn't create the outcome which you wanted. Instead all you've achieved is that people here have questioned your intentions and become frustrated with your posting.

I thank you OzVwCrap for providing your account on this forum, and for the frank discussion.
I'm glad these issues have hit the media, it assists those who've been treated unfairly, and with downright contempt, from both the dealer and VWA to finally get the minimum acknowledgement we've wanted all along.
Some VW cars do have serious issues - which can lead to safety issues - and VWA and their owners have known this for a long time. I realise this doesn't go down too well on an enthusiast's forum, but them be the facts.
MKV Golf 2.0 TDI DSG Sportline. Just nice.
It is not his account that is the problem! It is the way he conducts himself. There is a way to assist those with problems, and then there is another way. The problem is in the conduct of fairfax as well. The only losers here are the vast majority of owners. VWA has lost little at this stage, fairfax have increased their revenue and come out looking like heroes after years of recommending VW cars. Everyone I know is pissed off about this because of the uncertainty it has created and a potential loss in resale to benefit an angry minority (250 people vs 200,000)!

Why don't you settle down sunshine, and stop your rudeness. Moderators give up their time, free of charge, to run this site and they don't deserve such childish behaviour. Adults can make arguments, children throw insults. As a "New Dubber" on this site, I suggest you familiarise yourself with the rules regarding offensive posts.
