I've read a few pages and on the face of it, having had experience with VW Aus's processes- I'm with OzVW and RoknRob.I'm a VW person through and through. It wasn't my Injector shutdown that phased me when it happened ( as i was expecting it)-no it was the fact that VW knew about the problem, took an actuarial approach in deciding on a non official recall, and didn't pay for a tow which cost $800. So unnecessary, and to someone who's family are devotees(7 Vw's and counting) and acted very civily and professionally in all dealings.They really have cocked up dealing with issues they are/were aware of,-so so unnecesary the approach. I was only too happy to accept a phone call from the age.I had no bad word to say about the car but stated known issues with a range of the VW cars which could be investigated, however my focus was on VW's approach to its customers not their cars!
