Thanks for that link. My Octavia was manufactured after August 2011. I wonder if this means they knew there was a (potential?) manufacturing issue and 'fixed it' from September 2011 onwards...

FWIW got my Octavia back last Thursday from the dealer, was in for warranty work on the fog light assy and washer jets on windscreen not working and also for them to check why when at the lights in manual mode stopped, when I put my foot down to go the car went no where, flipped into D and still no where, into S and again same thing. Into Park car off then back on and all good.

They advised when I picked it up that they will change the mechatronic unit (clutch packs were done a month ago) under the recall

Wife's car in Thursday last week for shuddering and hard changes of gears and advised same thing Friday... Clutch packs and new Mechatronic.

Both clutch packs done under warranty but mechatronics will be done under recall. Problem is no one seems to know when that will be.

    Both cars are less than 40000km and a MY10 and MY11 118TSI

Richmond Skoda was the dealer and they have always been great! Especially with free loan cars, got a wicked top of the range a4 3.0TDI. Wanted them to keep the Skoda for longer hahahaa

Been a while since you posted the above but if you still on here was curious re the clutch plates being replaced under warranty - did they give you any paperwork / service record? I got mine done and was told no paperwork just comes up on the skoda internal system.
