    But
    I expect
    Same economy
    Same power
    Same torque including the 'curve'.
And I don't think that's possible.......Maurice Blackburn have at least 1000 signed up just in Oz.

AdBlue tank must be flushed every 'B' service.
Once container opened, residual cannot be left in container.
Must be kept in cool location. So if car is parked in sun on typical 35degree day,
this could have serious deterioration of AdBlue in car tank
Mazda have used it since bringing in diesel SUVs. They don't let you refill it yourself, though. The plug is in the wheel well in the boot. They also charge a tonne for it compared to the Adblue you can get at the servo which is the same stuff.

Sounds a bit sus I used to drive Mercedes buses that had adblue Boss used to buy it in 44 gal drums. Cant imagine him throwing remainder out after topping up a few buses.
Buses were hot all the time and used to sit for hours in that sort of heat.

I've read somewhere it's corrosive and not at all good for your paint......they probably have a safe method....plus they can charge you for it.

Was referring to the throw out what you dont use and yes it doesnt do paint any good. Buses just had a fill point beside the diesel tank

    Either way
If you get a recall letter what will you do?
    Cooperate without question?
    or
Demand to know what the power/torque and economy figures will be AFTER the 'fix'?
To me, THAT's the question I have to resolve for myself prior to agreeing to it
    Otherwise
Like in the U.S. consider/demand the U.S. CEO's suggestion of a buyback option, including my tow bar and 3M protection.
Lots to think about and prepare for for me.

Looks like I scored 1 out of 2 cars effected by DieselGate and that one being the 2012 Eos.

I read the VW website as this currently being a "Voluntary Recall" until you take your car to be serviced by VW. So not really voluntary then lol. If cars after the cut off date are ok I really hope they flash the tune from my Golf on the Eos as I do find the Eos a bit sluggish and would be more fun with extra kw.

I wonder what kinda compensation they are going to offer customers effected as these are very interesting words from their website
"We will do everything necessary to win back the trust of our customers, partners and the public."

GolfVII, the voluntary aspect of the recall relates to the manufacturer, not the customer. Volkswagen are voluntarily offering the recall as the solution rather than it being mandated by Government.

I very much doubt that they would be "Buying back" cars with 100,000km on them, for instance.

Owners have been happy with them up till now and all of a sudden they are rats++t.

My one has only done 24,000 so would like to think it would get a payout of more than high km one.

Personally i think we should all take a deep breath and wait and see what will happen rather than surmising and working ourselves into a lather about what you think you should get..

What owners think is fair and what VW think my be a vastly different thing and when they announce what is their offering then is the time for discussion to start.

Wait and see what the effect is on the AFFECTED cars.
