Awesome trip.
Dubbo zoo was a highlight for me when i was younger, getting that close to the animals was amazing.
Bathurst would have been interesting in the van.
Does it feel floaty/body-roll.
After picking up Dexter from the smash repairers on Friday afternoon and heading out, we are back from our latest adventure... Dubbo Zoo for the kids (...also a little for me).
I have never been so close to "wild" animals, it really was an amazing experience.
We also took a drive out to Parkes to have a look at "The Dish", not that you can really see it in this picture, but it's there behind the tree's on the right:
I'm always amazed that even out in the bush how many VW's I see, they really are everywhere. A little disappointed not to see any VWWatercooled stickers, but something to work on for sure
On the way there we passed through Bathurst, so of course there is the obligatory shots to go along with the couple of laps I got in around the track. It's amazing to think of the speeds the V8s manage around that track.
Another 1,112km down and out little Dexter is running like a dream. I am still very impressed at how well a not so little vehicle can overtake with only a 2.0L 4cyl engine, albeit a turbo diesel. When you put your foot down your out and round caravans in no time at all.

With two kids in the car + a wife poised to slap me we kept it slow and steady... Even then she freaked out a little at some of the corners/edges of the track

Read that title and was hoping for some sort of porno starring Michael C Hall, looks like a fun trip though
