I recently ordered urgent parts from ECS, some of which were not immediately held in stock (1-3day status). It took longer for the items to arrive at ECS than for the completed parcel to arrive here via UPS express.

Moral of the story... pay the small premium and go with a reliable carrier, where offered of course. If you want it quicker and cheaper, then move to the US, you can prob buy a house for 5k based on their crappy economy!

Can anyone confirm that there is a strike? Which agency is striking?

    Cheers.
I don't think anyone is on strike - i've asked Australia Post several times, they say there is no strike, i can't find anyone saying there is anywhere, i think USPS couldn't cope with the amount of mail going through some of there depots, due to the exchange rate being so good for us in Australia to buy stuff online.

    I concur.

The recent hurricane thingey wouldn't have helped either probably, a few people not at work methinks.

    Just found this guys:
    Quarantine strike causes airport delays

"Quarantine workers examining inbound overseas mail at Australia Post sorting offices also stopped work.
Mr Tull said this could lead to potential ongoing delays in the delivery of mail."

Maybe USPS aren't telling porkies after all.

Quarantine is AQIS, which are a division of DAFF. To you and I that means customs.

Don't be so quick to shoot lol!

Okay, so who should I be contacting for my parcel being "lost"?
I'm fairly sure it would have arrived by now (Left US 17 July apparently) , and I've read somewhere USPS don't use ships any more.

Have you phoned Australia Post about it? Call 137678 and you'll get to talk to someone, they may have more scan info than what is showing up on the website tracking, they did with mine.... They seem pretty helpful, i'm sure they'd point you in the right direction if they can't help...

    Yeah many times
They said to contact the seller to follow it up but I've got a seller which is not doing anything or replying to me.
