The dealer I got mine from had an A3 wrapped under a velvet cloth with the big enormous bow on top. When I last bought there, they were new and had guys still welding the display room, I got handed keys signed away my money and that was it! Later discovered that day that someone had turned the lights on when they were under something so they had melted the plastic lenses and had to be replaced. Nice to see detailers do a job.
When I picked up my Hyundai Santa Fe which before the Genesis was the most expensive car they sold, I found my car outside in the general display lot, it had been rained on and covered in dust, there were spiderwebs in the front grill and it had a nice dent/paint scrape on the drivers side where someone had opened a display car beside its door and hit it. On top of that they forgot about my trade in so had no cheque and I had to leave my Perfect Cond Mazda 6 there with nothing to show for it. The fuel light came on as I drove out and they said they only put enough in to get to a fuel station. So pretty much I was given the keys and the buck stopped there. I'm curious as to what it will be like picking up my new RS Octavia early next year now the dealer seems over the top.
