Cost to export a car to UK

    Hey Guys & Gals,

I have a mate moving back to the UK and he's a sparky. He has a Toyota Hi-Ace Van that is fully decked out and he is wondering whether it is worthwhile shipping back. Does anyone have any idea what the ballpark costs are?

    Much Appreciated

not worth it, it will be cheaper to buy one back in the uk, esp as the AUD to the UK Pound still strong and cars and van are cheap to buy.

it would probably be cheaper to buy two cars in the UK, and the after-market scene over there would be so much bigger than here, so a lot more on offer

Well in general? probably not worth it, but if the van is decked out the way he likes it, probably should go and find out how much it cost to export.

As, yes it is much cheaper to buy a new car in europe, but it takes time and money to make it the way he wants it like now, unless he gets a good price selling his van here.

Should research on how much he would get for his van, and how much it would cost to buy a new van and make it similar to his one now in europe, and compare the costs to exporting.
