if you were still considering the daihatsu, but wanted toyota reliability, then get the daihatsu <- daihatsu is toyota's kei car company, so you can't go wrong.

i had a 98' 2 door manual lancer that i couldnt fault as a daily. Never had a problem.

Well, on second thoughts... my mates called it the nurse mobile as it was the type of car a nurse would drive.

get a falcon/boringdoore wagon if you want the room, and to be able to hit speedbumps at max speed. Plue any monkey mechanic will be able to fix it, and parts are everywhere, as are the cars, so there is plenty of choice.

negatives are that you're driving a boat, and it'll be a very dull experience. fuel is expensive too, unless you get something on gas.

otherwise, if the space things isn't such a big issue, get a seat or a mk 3 cl. Pretty reliable & honest cars. Or get anything that's honda/toyota/mitsu and in good nick.

    i like volkswagens

Must be some cool 70s JDM stuff for this money, RA/TA22 Celica, Chrysler Gallant etc etc, big duckbill, pop rivet flares, stance.

    OR... E30 Beemer.

A mate's selling a VT Calais for not much. He bought a newer SS and now reckons the Calais is great on fuel haha.
