    Change wheel hub to 4x112

I've got some awesome rims sitting at home but they are 4x112 and as we all know mk1 golfs are 4x100. Is there any other car I can get 4x112 hubs from which will interchange with my current 4x100 wheel hubs? Also I got mk3 rear disk so they are also 4x100 and would need to be changed as well.

    Thanks in advance.

hey mate, sure they aren't 4x114.3? I havent heard of a 4x112 before... what are the wheels off? OEM or aftermarket?

Adapters, try ECS or Adaptec Speedware. If the wheels are low offset (Et0-ET30 then you may have clearance issues so make sure you look into all thats required and where they will sit. Basically subtract the thickness of your adapter from the wheels et (ET50 wheel with 20mm adapter is now ET30) essentially making the face sit 20m closer (or past) the guards. Hope that helps

Yea your right they are 4x114. My bad sorry.

Yea I've been looking into adapters, just curious if a change in wheel hub is possible because I remember reading about one ages ago on this website. Thanks!!!

Pretty sure they are after market. Ill get a pick up in the next hour or so. Im a total novice when it comes to wheels.

Had a quick look and they seem to be the only marking on it.

adaptec speedware do (or atleast, did) double up hubs. not sure if they did them for passat though. Custom may be the way to go. Either way, not cheap. I'd look for another set of wheels

You can have the hubs tapped and rotors redrilled to suit a new PCD but it's a lot of work and money for what it is. I remember looking into doing it before and there wasn't enough meat in the original hubs to drill to a 114.3mm PCD. This was for a Mk3 though, so might not be the same for the Mk1.

Rear rotors should be a easier I think, just retapping to the 114.3mm PCD that you want.

Wouldn't it be even easier to redrill the wheels to 4x100?

I had some of those wheels in 4 x 100. I sold them for scrap metal.

There's no way you can drill the front hubs or rear discs any bigger than 4 x 108 and even that is really pushing the limits. Adapters would be the way to go if you really have to.

There's nicer wheels out there. Those aren't worth the bother.
