    Oh dear that is bad form from me haha. Noticed the MSD ignition and thought, hmm familiar, but longitudinal and that spastic turbo + piping, nah not on a VW. Haha.

    That top pic with the VR looks like a mk2 to me...

    And what is going on here? I assume this is a new mad tyte jdm y0 fad? I've seen other pics of mx-5s with the same guard removed.

    edit: on searching car sales, it appears mx-5s hold their value better than any other car! None under about $6000, and plenty that are pushing ten grand! for a cars TWENTY years old! not even low mileage examples. Insane.

    Not only that, Tectonics Tunings founder Darrell Vittone's dad Joe Vittone was also the founder EMPI!

    This thing was running high 12's way back when & doing so without NOS, carbs or Forced induction!

    If thats not inspirational, then I don't know what is!







    Alittle home grown ingenuity! 16VT using a F350 turbo,modded short runner 16V intake manifold, Merc V8 CIS & whats ever else was laying around, incl. plenty of cable ties! haha

    Might look horrid, but from what I've read, goes like a raped APE!








    Not sure if this build is still going on, as I'm sure I read he's since moved on a Audi base. Still very cool & would have loved to see how it all went.

    The 20vt had some very extensive work carried out on it too which now sits in the Audi









    This is alittle different & very cool 8V power
