    NFS2SE was the best ever! I still remembering upgrading to a 4mb 3DFX card and drooling at the amazing graphics. That's one thing that started my love obsession with the McLaren F1.

    McLaren F1 on the "Proving Ground"...the race track circuit. x 100000...i would only ever drive this car on that circuit. Need For Speed... so many memories.

    I feel exactly the same way, and the music HOW GOOD WAS THE MUSIC!?!

    just change compatibility mode to windows 95 and it should work

    They also made a H16 engine in the 60's Jim Clarke steered the beast to 1 victory but it was a bit of a dog, insane engineering though.


    I love the note of these engines. I first heard one when my uncle loaned my old man a "Sounds of Goodward" (festival of speed) CD about 8 or 9 years ago. Awesome.

    These engines were absolute ball busters, but inferior quality components and high RPM don't mix very well, so they were prone to failure A LOT.

    If they made it today, with the improvement in material purities and manufacturing techniques, they would go forever!
