    My close friend's dad's car.

Last weekend at the Jamboree broke the ST289 record again to regain the No 1 position with a 7.90 @ 172mph

This is the man & car that changed the face of rotary drag racing many year's ago & what makes it so good bloody good today & a true pioneer of the sport.

This car was the first street untubbed rotary to run a 9, which was also the only rotary in the exclusive 9 second street car club in the late 80's & then went onto to be the first into the 8s with a different owner a few years ago.

I don't really like rotarys (Hand grenades... And they look like overgrown alternators..)

But holy crap you have to respect them.

I'm with you mate! Not a big fan of the ol' scrotary but boy they can be quick suckers.

I still want a FC/FD RX7 in my collection one day... Maybe with a twin turbo LS2 conversion.

What don't you like about them Preen?

To complicated for you, can't work out the port timing?

I don't think you've been in a fast one, have you?

    My friend's mildly tuned 13B made 280rwkw's on 15psi & 411rwkw's on 32psi with C16.
In street trim (15psi), I never seen a bike that could out run it on the street!

I remember driving it one time & it came on in 3rd & it pulled that hard, it not only made lift out of the seat & made you ride the seat back rest, but you could also feel it trying to lift the LHF wheel at over 100! Believe it or not, I don't care

Now that's an experience hand's down!

hehe, friend of mine had an earlier, worked RX7, and it was like driving with an on/off switch.

watching him drive up a steep driveway was hilarious - either stall or smoke it, nowhere in between

Nothing wrong with rotaries, I've owned two FC's now and both of them were awesome and never gave me troubles at all.

    Here's my last one:

I've been in a reasonably fast 12a before, but not 500rwhp type stuff no.

They just aren't my thing. I understand how they work and why they work so well, and why they are more efficient (that one is a no brainer).

Believe me, that Queenstreet smash quad rotor impressed the hell out of me the first time i saw that run a few years ago at WSID.

I don't like subaru's either, and statistically, they are a very reliable, safe car.

Some people (well, most people really) don't like volkswagens because they just aren't their thing.

Anyways, this is getting way off track.

    Accepted & understood.

I like them because of the copious amount's of power they can make so easily & also how they piss so many people off!
